| Name Change of the Association |
| To better reflect the Association's expanding, diverse membership, the Executive Committee of the AACCL voted in June 2000 to change its name into ACCL (Association of Chinese & Comparative Literature). The recommendation was subsequently approved by members of the Association and became effective on August 21, 2000. |
