Art Collections Cataloguing Intern
Paid Summer Internship – Seattle, WA

The Art Collections Cataloguing Intern will assist with cataloguing, image scanning and data entry of pop culture photographic and archival materials in the private art collection.
Projects and Responsibilities
- Create individual object records in collections management database including basic tombstone information: artist, title, date, medium, dimensions
- Scan and attach images of the object to collections management database
- Complete basic condition examination and summary recommendations in collections management database, including assigning conservation priority level
- Rehousing object into archival storage materials for placement in storage

Projects and Responsibilities
Materials Management
- Filing, research, image sourcing and identification for private sale offers
- Track, catalog and archive auction publications
- Shelving new books for Art Group research library
- Assemble, circulate, recycle curatorial mail basket
- Attend curatorial review meetings and handle “housekeeping” sweep of sourcing e-mails
Data Management
- Create and attach digital correspondence files to records in The Museum System
- As directed, research and update records for objects in the collection
- Manage digital rolodex for curatorial team
- As directed, track and capture art market data
- Review, respond if necessary, and file eccentric and less significant offers
- Research and find missing image files for records in The Museum System database
