In 2020, Clay Art Center’s gallery theme is Welcome Home, which will focus on all the elements that make a home; exploring the meaning of family, the daily routines, moments and items that surround us and add to our sense of home, and the interaction of the people within to create that place which develops our sense of identity.
Our Call For Entry Emerging Artist Exhibition is “Taste of Home”, and we invite undergraduate and graduate students from around the country to create drinking vessels that convey what Home means to them. Non-degree graduates who are enrolled at a college or university for post-Baccalaureate studies are also eligible to apply. The vessels can range from tea bowls to sculptural vessels and anything in between. Story tellers, utilitarian makers and decorative artists can interpret the exhibition title through color, shape, form, content.
Deadline for submission is April 7, 2020.
