Art Collections Cataloguing Intern
Paid Summer Internship – Seattle, WA

The Art Collections Cataloguer Intern will assist with cataloguing, image scanning and data entry of pop culture photographic and archival materials in the private art collection.
Projects and Responsibilities
- Create individual object records in collections management database including basic tombstone information: artist, title, date, medium, dimensions
- Scan and attach images of the object to collections management database
- Complete basic condition examination and summary recommendations in collections management database, including assigning conservation priority level
- Rehousing object into archival storage materials for placement in storage
Desired Skills and Experience
- Museum studies graduate student; specializing in collections care/registration or conservation
- Interest in art collections management, especially photographic materials, prints and negatives
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable taking direction and asking for guidance when necessary
- Handling of photographic materials and basic condition reporting techniques preferred
- Experience with data entry
- Experience with relational databases preferred
- Film history knowledge a plus
