Jacobson Jarvis is soliciting original art from local artists to feature in our 2021 calendar.

Artists are free to submit visual art along any style or theme, as long as it exemplifies the following firm values: encouraging diversity, community-building and collaboration and echoes our mission statement: “A sustaining resource to the not-for-profit community.”

Jacobson Jarvis is a CPA firm focused exclusively on serving the needs of not-for-profits. Our clients are mission-driven organizations that focus on everything from the environment to human services, arts to education.

Contact information: If you have questions about your submission, please contact Loni Higgins, Firm Administrator, at 206-812-5479 or loni@jjco.com.

Calendar Specifications

Each year, the firm produces an 11”x14” single sheet color calendar featuring custom-designed artwork. The calendar is produced in both electronic and printed form.

Artists are encouraged to be creative, however, images containing nudity, violence or offensive language will be eliminated. Please note that this competition is for the image only – a graphic designer will incorporate the image with the other calendar elements.

Images should be 300 dpi at 100% of size submitted in .jpg or .tiff file formats, and the file name should include the artist’s first initial and last name. 200-300 PPI is the preferred resolution for press-quality printing. Submissions should be sent to info@jjco.com with “JJCo calendar contest” in the subject line (please limit submissions to three images per artist). The winning artist will have his or her name credited to the image. The artist selected for the calendar will also receive $500 and 50 copies of the calendar.

Deadlines and dates: Deadline for submissions is August 15, 2020. Artists will be notified in September.

Once all submissions have been received, the firm will select its favorite three images and invite clients and friends of the firm to vote for their favorite. The calendar will be distributed in early November.
