Northwind Art seeks Virtual Art Instructors

Thank for for your interest in teaching at Northwind Art. Our classes and workshops are taught by a diverse and skilled group of 50+ instructors annually. We invite online lecture, class, and workshop proposals on a rolling basis. We seek to create a schedule that is balanced by medium, content, level, timing, and prospective audience. Northwind Art provides Zoom Pro hosting for our online classes. We have an online studio assistant who can be present during your class to change camera views and provide light technical help for you and your students. We provide administrative support and transaction processing for online classes, so our teaching artists need only focus on their teaching. This includes all student inquiries and communications ahead of the class. To promote and fill upcoming classes, we feature them in our bi-weekly newsletter that goes out to over 2,000 subscribers. We also post on community calendars and share through social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) every single day to thousands of followers.

  • If the class or workshop has been offered successfully in the past (minimum enrollment met or exceeded), a new proposal is not necessary. E-mail the Education Director at education@northwindart.org and we will work together on scheduling. Approved classes and workshops will be scheduled on a first-proposed basis.

  • If a class has been offered in the past and cancelled due to low or no enrollment (based on most recent offering), a new proposal is encouraged, but not required. The Program Committee will, however, expect a rationale for offering it again. For example, you have a group of participants ready to sign up; you have established stronger and more effective avenues for marketing and promoting your class; you have restructured the class. E-mail the Education Director at education@northwindart.org and the class/workshop will be included in the evaluation cycle. Approved classes and workshops will be scheduled on a first-proposed basis.

  • If you are a new, current or past instructor proposing a new class, please use online form below and e-mail your proposal to the Education Director at: director@northwindart.org. Approved classes and workshops will be scheduled on a first-proposed basis.
