Salary Range: $40,000-$45,000 annually

GAGE YOUTH PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Gage is looking for a creative Youth Program Manager who will play an active role in art instruction across various mediums including drawing, painting, digital and printmaking. This role reports to the Director of Programs and will design and implement exemplary arts programs for youth. Gage’s integrated curriculum encourages students to explore new materials and techniques; develop creative problem-solving skills; and celebrate self-expression. Gage is dedicated to employing professional Teaching Artists to present engaging, age-appropriate classes that empower young artists to be seen and heard.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

Program Management 75%
• Oversee day-to-day operations of all Youth Programs: Teen Art Studios, Summer and Skill Set programs, Youth Atelier and more!
• Articulate an artistic vision for creating an inclusive experience for school-aged youth
• Create and monitor Youth Program’s budget
• Create and implement curriculum, and coherent program planning
• Supervise daily functions and staff – Teaching Assistants, interns, and support staff
• Recruit, hire, train, mentor, supervise, and retain staff to carry out programs and activities
• Generate contracts for program staff & independent contractors
• Coordinate staff training and other staff activities
• Create and manage administrative documents including registration rosters, program plans, staffing lists, etc. that meet deadlines
• Arrange for substitute staff as needed
• Review and respond to instructor inquiries and new instructor outreach, interview prospects
• Maintain supplies; keep supply inventory and equipment organized
• Ensure a safe and supervised process for children to arrive at program
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding enrollment or issues that may arise

Administration 25%
• Meet with Director of Programs and Executive Director to oversee curriculum planning and program expansion
• Collaborate with Gage directors and departments – Marketing, Advancement, Events, Finance, and Facilities – to develop marketing materials (catalogues, website, etc.), coordinate events, provide grant support, and liaise with instructors and administrative staff
• Compile and maintain enrollment statistics and data
• Assist with mailing lists
• Cultivate partnerships with local schools and youth centers
