Edmonds College Continuing Ed Department looking for artists to teach youth camps this summer
Calling all artists (who like kids!)
We are hoping to offer some Art focused courses for our youth camps this summer. We are wide open when it comes to ideas and I am asking that anyone who is the least bit interested, to reach out to me, Jake Slade so we can have a conversation about the course.
The Details:
Our youth camp program will run Monday through Friday July 5 th – Aug. 11 th . We will be serving youth age 8-15 years old. Typically we break up our programs by age with an 8-11 year old cohort, and an 11-15 year old cohort. This will ultimately be up to the instructor. Camps run from 8:30am-3:30pm. Instructors have the option for an extra hour of work for set-up and takedown. 40 hours per week. Pay starts at $25-$30/hr.
If the course fills to more than 7 students, a 2 nd staff person will be hired in order to help manage the group.
**Material costs for the course will be decided by the instructor and we will work together to set a price that covers those costs per student.
