Our darling baby needs care from 8am – 4pm twice a week at our home in Fremont (near Paseo and Lighthouse, just off the 5 bus route). We prefer Mondays and Wednesdays but are flexible. Our baby is 12 months old and is, in our unbiased opinion, an utter delight. She does not currently show any aptitude in art but devours picture books, both literally and figuratively.
Job Duties:
- Keep our baby safe in and out of the house.
- Alert us when our baby is sick or hurt.
- Engage in age-appropriate play with our baby when she is awake, feed her meals, change her diapers, and put her to sleep for naps. We will prep meals unless you tell us you’d like to do so.
- Take our baby on walks around the neighborhood, to the park, and the zoo.
- Avoid using screens (including phones) when our baby is awake.
- Clean up our baby’s play area and eating area at the end of the day.
Experience: We prefer folks with nanny and babysitting experience, especially those who have worked with 12-18 mo old kiddos.
Payment: $27-34/hour. We prefer to use a payroll service (does taxes for you!) but are open to discussion.
Other Info: We realize working in someone else’s home may be creepy. We know Professor Sperling (our baby and her adorable baby are friends) and she can vouch that we are pretty normal.
