Bingham I.V. Boards is seeking a University of Washington student to 3D scan one of each size of their armboards pictured above (sans foam covering), then convert the scans to CAD files. The CAD drawings will then need some modifications made to make them ready to be used to create new injection molding tooling for our next iteration of this 52-year-old product.
This is a one-time commissionable gig that a student can add to their portfolio of projects for selling themselves to future employers or clients. The commission is negotiable and will be discussed with interested parties.
Responsibilities
• Receive samples of the products
• 3D scan the products
• Produce CAD drawings from the scans
• Modify the scans as directed by Bingham I.V. Boards’ owner
• Digitally deliver the scan and CAD files to Bingham I.V. Boards.
Qualifications
• Current UW student with interest/experience in 3D scanning and CAD creation
• Familiarity with current 3D scanning and CAD software
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently on this project
• Must be able to complete the project within 3 weeks of acceptance of the project

• Two samples of each size will be sent to the student via FedEx.
• BIVB will review the completed work for acceptability and furnish payment within 1 week
• Compensation will be negotiated prior to selecting a student for the project
