AMP Lab: Amplifying Movement & Performance

Alumni

The goal of the AMP Lab is to bring together interdisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and clinicians to work on collaborative projects. We have been privileged to have had amazing students, trainees, and staff work together in this space. Together our goals are to:

  • Advance understanding of the dynamics and control of movement at the human/machine interface,
  • Design treatment strategies and assistive technologies that improve function, performance, and quality of life for people in health and disease.

We envision a future where: neurophysiological trauma and disease are diagnosed automatically (and, when possible, preemptively); monitoring and intervention are conducted continuously within and outside the clinic; and personalized assistive devices ranging from exoskeletons to co-robots mitigate disability and enhance ability of all individuals, as needed.
