Although potential resources will be different for each local health jurisdiction, these individuals and organizations may be able to provide the following:
WSU Cooperative Extension FacultyThe following is a list of WSU Cooperative Extension faculty who have some type of food, nutrition and/or food safety responsibilities.

Children's AllianceThe Children's Alliance is a, "statewide, member based advocacy organization dedicated to improving the safety, security, health and education of Washington's children:" Children's Alliance initiatives include the Anti-Hunger and Nutrition Coalition and the Food Policy Center which have been very active in assessing food security and advocating for programs to support nutritional needs of families in Washington state.The Children's Alliance web site (http://www.childrensalliance.org/
) includes a listing of member organizations throughout the state. The
Alliance has offices in both Seattle and Spokane that may be contacted
for information about individual and organizational members from each local
health jurisdiction.
WICThe Supplemental Feeding Program for Women, Infant's and Children can be a rich source of local data, resource information, and potential community nutrition assessment partners. To find contact information for local program Kathy Martinez at the State WIC office at (360) 236-3673.
