Q: What is the best part of your current position?
SR: The incredibly smart people I get to work with, and how everyone’s perspectives are valued.

Q: How did your time in the CFRM program help you with your career path?
SR: The curriculum prepared me in both finance and data science, and this combination was especially powerful. Our career advisor, Karen Beaudry, connected us with potential internship and full-time opportunities, and worked hard to help us achieve our career goals.

Q: What was your most memorable event or activity during your time in the program?
SR: I enjoyed working on my thesis with Dr. Tim Leung, since it gave me an opportunity to learn beyond what was taught in the classroom.

Q: What advice would you give incoming CFRM students?
SR: Don’t panic if your classes seem challenging, especially in the first few quarters. Reach out to your professors, TAs, and classmates, and go to office hours.

Q: What are your favorite memories of Seattle?
SR: Seattle is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever lived in, and I love how nature and the city are so close by. During my free time, I hiked a lot, and also explored nearby towns like Leavenworth with my friends.
