Lars Nagel

Lars is currently a Master’s student in the “Robotics, Cognition, Intelligence” program at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and visiting CTRL to perform his Master’s thesis. He studied “Engineering Science” at TUM for his Bachelor’s degree. Lars has a strong interest in aviation, having started flying RC planes and helicopters as a child and he now holds a private pilot’s license. Starting with his bachelor thesis at the “Chair of Aircraft Design” at TUM, he was involved in several research projects focusing on UAV sensor technology, data fusion and processing, and flight testing. At CTRL, he will be working on a trajectory planning and guidance system to assist pilots in the event of an engine failure. Besides aviation, he enjoys kite surfing, scuba diving, beach volleyball, and calisthenics.
