King
Street Center |
|
The King Street Center in Seattle, WA is a great source for water
reclamation, along with many other green technology elements in the
construction and maintenances of the building. Water reclamation can
be apart of the greywater system, but here at the King Street Center
it is a stand alone feature.

The main feature
and purpose of this system is to capture rain water on the roof and
then filter through a series of three tanks which in the end would
then be used to flush toilets and run other water features in the
building. But after this the water will enter the city sewer system,
even though much of this water could be captured again and reused
for many of the same functions. Only the blackwater would have to
leave the building, unless it went through a much more intense filtering
system, but that might not be the most effective use of money. |
