FHL Marine Botany  ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::   Taxonomy | Habitat | Morphology | Life History | Ecology | Epiphytes

On the many field trips that I have taken all over San Juan Island, I always wondered what that funny lookin' balloon shaped plant was that grows on top of mats of red algae

Naturally, I decided to study this alga for my marine botany project.

After compiling information from many resources, I have summarized it on this website so you can learn about it too.

Browse the tabs above to learn about the habitat that this alga thrives in, interactions with other marine organisms, as well as many other facets of its life history.
