DIRECTIONS TO UW ROME CENTER
From the Airport or Train Station
Instructions (from UW Rome Center Web Site)
Finding the Rome Center from the Campo de' Fiori
- If you are arriving by taxi, your driver
might not be able to get you into the Campo de' Fiori itself due to crowds
or parked cars, but ask your driver to point you in the right direction.
- Once in the Campo de' Fiori, look for the
statue of Giordano Bruno in the middle. If you are staring at this back,
you might be standing in front of the UW Rome Center. If you are staring
at his face, you want to walk to the buildings behind Mr. Bruno.
- There is a little piazza (square) just
to the left and behind Mr. Bruno's shoulder. It is called Piazza del Biscione.
Walk into the Piazza (see map below).
- The largest building in the piazza is the
UW Rome Center at Piazza del Biscione 95. One the left side of the entrance
are the apartments and offices in the building. Ring Shawn's apartment first
(apartment 6 or, in Italian, interno 6). If he is not in, ring the UW Office
buzzer. If it is after 5:00 pm and they are closed and Shawn is not in, wait
patiently by the front door. He is probably showing one of your classmates
to their apartment. He will be right back.
