Description: Test elongate, about 2 ½ times long as broad, widest in the middle, ends rounded; chambers fairly numerous, inflated, distinct; sutures depressed but the lines of the sutures indistinct; wall ornamented with longitudinal costae, about 10 in full-grown chambers, high and very thin and sharp, towards the base and apertural ends of the test between the costae and the costae themselves
 
 
Distribution: In Puget Sound, U. peregrina is a rare species, found in low numbers in northern areas.
