Dear
Leaflet Subscriber,
We have some exciting news to share about your Miller Library newsletter.
Beginning with our April issue, we're making a few changes to how
Leaflet reaches you — and we want to make sure nothing gets lost along the way.
First, a bit of background: In January 2026, the Arboretum Foundation and UW Botanic Gardens officially
united to form Seattle Botanic Gardens, combining nearly a century of shared stewardship of the Washington Park Arboretum, Seattle Japanese Garden, and the Center for Urban Horticulture. As our organizations grow closer together, so do our systems — including how we communicate with you.
As part of this transition, the Miller Library will be moving its newsletter delivery from UW's email platform to the Arboretum Foundation's account. This will allow us to streamline our communications under a single, unified system.
What's changing:
- Starting in April, Leaflet and Leaflet for Scholars will merge into a single newsletter. If you subscribed to both, you'll continue receiving all the same great content — just in one email. If you only subscribed to Leaflet for Scholars, you'll notice a refreshed look and some additional news stories.
- Your newsletters will now arrive from a new email address associated with the Miller Library. Check the end of each message for a link to manage your preferences.
What you need to do:
- Please add info-arboretumfoundation.org@shared1.ccsend.com to your safe senders list to make sure our emails land in your inbox (and not your spam folder).
This is a simple but important step — without it, our emails may not reach you after the switch.
All of us at the Miller Library are committed to keeping you connected to the plants, research, and stories you love. If you have any questions about these changes, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at
hortlib@uw.edu.
Thank you for being a loyal
Leaflet reader. We look forward to continuing to grow with you.
Warm regards,
Laura Blumhagen
