Hungry at Two? Go to San Pistachio!
page 1 1 of 1

  Name

San Pistachio Gelateria

  Location and Hours

Campo di Fiori, number 49- conveniently around the corner from the UW Rome Center
It seems that San Pistachio is always open- as early in the morning as you would want a gelato, through siesta and- if you ask nicely- all the way until about 2:30 in the morning (though they officially close at 2)

5 Stars (obviously)

  Price Range

It depends on how much gelato you want to have. The smallest cup costs 1.50 euro and you can get due gusti (2 flavors) and the largest cup costs 5.10 euro- enough to satisfy any large appetite. We recommend the cup for 2.60 euro, which gets you three flavors and the perfect amount of gelato.

  Time of Visit

We visit this establishment at least once a day; usually, every night at 2 am.

  Description

San Pistachio is a "hole-in-wall" gelateria. It is very small with bright orange colors decorating the door and a good selection of gelato (estimated 20 flavors). It is an informal establishment with no tables...The best time to visit is ANYTIME (each individual has his/her own favorite time for gelato, as all true connosieurs know).

Keli and Amanda Indulging at San Pistachio

Last Night of Gelato (sooo sad)

The quality of food is excellent. Once you get to know the workers they give you extra (piling high...) as well as some very cute little cookies. This is especially true if you go late at night when the friendly old man is working. We have developed a habit of indulging in the same flavors every time we go, although we have tried most of them. Keli always gets tiramisu and cafe and Amanda goes for the amarena and coconut. The baccio is also excellent, as well as fragola (according to Kara). We are quite sure you can't go wrong at this gelateria.
