I learned this phrase from my friend in Northern Italy. If a rather tenacious guy is pursuing you, the second phrase will probably get him to leave you alone more quickly than the first phrase. While the first may be the more honest pick, it may not get the infatuated gentleman to leave you alone. These are less useful for the guys, but you could use them with Italian women too if the situation were to arise.
