Meet our new friends. On a side note, the man in the yellow shirt was NOT our friend. Rather, he was the man whose elbow kept jabbing me during the concert. How he got into the picture? We don't know.

We even made friends with the police officers. That's how powerful this phrase is.

Nina and I were at the Elton John concert. Elton John - LIVE at the Colosseum. Epic concert. We'll probably be on PBS. Watch for it.

At one point of the day, we decided it would be a good idea to tell everyone around us that we were Elton John's biggest fans and that we had flown from Seattle just to see Elton John. We figured it would be easy enough, since we know the words to his most popular songs and during those that we didn't know, we could fake it by moving around a lot and bobbing our heads up and down.

Throughout the concert, my outbursts of "Elton John!" during lulls in crowd noise and sporadic cries of "I love you, Elton John!" combined with the insane volume with which I was shouting had attracted the attention of the people around us. Once we told them we loved Elton John, all was well and we became instant friends. Emails were exchanged, European kisses were given, but most importantly, friendships were built - all based upon the fact that we love Elton John.
