  Connection to Research

The views from the top of the Spanish Steps looked exactly like the ones that I saw while doing my research for this site. It was like I had already been there. However, when I was walking down I counted two less steps than the research I did gave me, but that might be just my bad counting skills.

Also, from my research I some how expected that the Greco cafe would have actually been in the Piazza di Spagna, but I found it to be down the main street where all the high-end shopping is located.

  Element of Interest

I really enjoyed how much the appearance of the Spanish Step depended on people. This site was built for the gathering of people and it looked completely different covered with people, and it almost didn't look right when the next time I saw it there weren't all too many around. The steps looked naked.

  Questions

What material was used to build the steps?

I have yet to find the answer.

Boat at Base of Steps

This image shows the foutain at the base of the Spanish Steps and leaves out the actual steps. It however captures the importance of people to this site as a social gathering spot.
