Three or four- we only ate typical pizzas and pastas, so we could have been missing out on some wonderful house specialty or main course.

The prices were reasonable, especially if you just want pizza or pasta. Pizzas all ranged between 4.50 and 6.50, and pastas were somewhere around 5.00 to 7.50. The seafood and meat dishes were a bit more pricey (11.00-15.00), but they have a really great selection.

Pummarola was a typical "pizzaria ristorante" with tables under large umbrellas outside and some nice small tables inside. They also have a gelateria and bar connected to the restaurant, so you can get everything your heart desires all in one place. The one unique thing about the restaurant is that they had a very large buffet of antipasto stuff- roasted vegetables, fried things, salads and sauces. It looked great but none of us tried it.
The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. It's a good idea to sit ouside to hear the people playing music and singing in the street. I think they have the full menu for both lunch and dinner, so there's not one time that's better than another to come. They're also happy to do any pizza or pasta to-go (which is what we did) and then you can go sit by the fountain at the pantheon.

I ate Fettucine alla Bolognase, Jenny had spinach ravioli, and Stephanie and Angela both had pizzas.

The food was good- nothing spectacular, but typical trattoria food- and they gave us good sized servings. We didn't stay and eat in the restaurant so we don't know too much about the service, but the waiters and cashier were very friendly and helpful. If I went back I would probably try the buffet because it has such a variety of things to sample.
