  Assignment

One just finished their struggle and now stands in rest looking at the scene before him, looking down as to take in the world he has saved while the other is still in their emotional struggle battling it, looking straight at the viewer as to beseech help. The “Risen Christ” stands strongly yet also elegantly straight, muscles flexed very determinately. With his purpose completed, he no longer needs to look at the cross, which he holds with strong confident arms, but rather looks away towards the future. With his right knee bent and his heel slightly above the rock and his weight on the firm left foot, the stance portrays a very relaxed, yet also determined feeling of the owner. “Moses” sits uncomfortably upright, his mind on unfinished business. His back and legs are contorted in a way ready to jump out of the chair at any moment however something restrains him. His internal struggle is seen by the viewer as his eyes look straight out towards him/her. The act that his hair and beard are chaotic even though he tries to control his beard represents his moment in life, a time still in the midst of the struggle, a time of confusion.
