Case of Oscar Hendrikhovich Hendrickson
Pursuant to Article 58-10 (II?)[1] of the RSFSR Criminal Code
By verdict of the Rostov Oblast (Regional) Court dated 28 January 1949, Oscar Hendrikhovich Hendrickson, 1888 year of birth, native of city of Vaasa, Finland, a Finn, citizen of the USSR, with a primary education, no previous convictions
Was convicted pursuant to Article 58-10 [II?)] of the RSFSR Criminal Code with penalty of Article 58-2 of the Criminal Code to 10 years incarceration with loss of voting rights for 4 years and confiscation of property.
In reference to the above, the Presidium of the RSFSR Supreme Court
HAS RULED:
To amend the Rostov Regional Court verdict of 28 January 1949 and the decision of the judicial division on criminal cases of the RSFSR Supreme Court of 10 February 1949 and to reduce the sentence of Oscar Hendrikhovich Hendrickson to 5 (five) years of incarceration, with confiscation of property and no loss of rights.
Pursuant to Article 5 of the Edict of the Presidium of the USSR Supreme Soviet of 27 March 1953 “On amnesty” and for serving his sentence, Oscar Hendrikhovich Hendrickson is to be released from custody and the record expunged.

[1] Translated by Nina Bogdan, who provides the following comment: This is the standard article under which most people were arrested but the abbreviation after it doesn’t make sense since the article doesn’t have separate paragraphs. I assume that the (Roman numeral) “II” is a reference to the fact that the penalty is going to be the more severe variant under Article 58-2 but that is just an assumption since I can’t find any reference explaining the abbreviation. The “II” actually looks like the Russian letter “P” (П) but “ч.” means часть, which, in this context, means “paragraph” or “clause” so it would seem a number should follow.
