Welcome to the UW Study Center in León! As Executive Director I am delighted to extend my warmest greetings to you on this exceptional journey of cultural exploration and academic enrichment. In the 13 years since the inauguration of the León Center by the King and Queen of Spain in the Palacio del Conde Luna in May 2010, with a two and a half year hiatus during the Covid pandemic, some 1200 UW students have participated in 70 programs organized by faculty from 20 departments on all three UW campuses.
Our programs are designed to immerse students in the rich tapestry of Spanish culture, history, and language, all while fostering personal growth and intellectual development.
