Starting a project

The first step in creating a project is to choose your project topic and/or application design. To start with, we suggested you use a topic given by your teacher or from the sample projects provided. Start with something easy.

Let’s think of an example…

Consider that:

My niece needs a tea party table (my niece’s name is Callie). She is four years old and loves to have “tea parties” inside as well as outside. So she must be able to pick up and carry the table to wherever she wants to go. Her parents request that the table is inexpensive and safe for children. Also, sometimes her “tea parties” are real and other times she just pretends.

Now let’s be serious and design a project from this simple table application. We need to decide what kind of properties a child’s tea party table needs. We also must consider the range of these properties needed.

Now we can continue by defining our project requirements for the table.
