A Message from Sigrid
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a nice long weekend.
Two Opportunities I’d like to highlight this week:
Leaders-to-Legends
The Leaders-to-Legends Breakfast Series brings community and business leaders together with Foster students to network and discuss current trends, best practices, leadership, and much more. The event starts with a continental breakfast from 7:15am-8:00am. The speaker presents from 8:00-8:45am and concludes with a Q&A session. If you have an 8:30am class, you are free to quietly leave out the back when you need to. In addition to students, faculty, staff, and invited community leaders also attend. Students may attend for free.
The first speaker this year was Endre Holen of McKinsey and Co. He gave an insightful reflection on his very successful consulting career and candidly shared the highs as well as the lows – offering tips and strategies. The next event will be January 14th where Phyllis Campbell, Chairman, Vice Chairman, JPMorgan Chase & Co. will be joining us. You may access Phyllis’s bio and register for the event at this link.
In addition to Endre and Phyllis, Colleen Brown, founder and owner of Marca Global Inc, a 5000 fastest growing company in the U.S will be joining us later this year. She recently was named the 2017 Director of the Year by the National Association of Corporate Directors & PSBJ. Don’t miss these opportunities to learn the story beyond the “bio” of these successful leaders.

If you are planning a club event, the MBA Program Office and Foster School have lots of resources available to you. The best place to look is the Student Events Guide on the Current Students Website. It has info on finding a venue, finding funding, serving food and alcohol at your event, and more.
If you would like to request a room please use the Student Event Room Request Web Form.
