A Message from Sigrid

Welcome to the 2017/18 academic year! I am delighted to have everyone on campus this week and look forward to engaging with all of you in the year ahead.

As we begin the new year, I want to encourage all of you to make a goal of connecting with your class, the other full-time class, and the Evening MBAs this year. You are all key elements to making everyone’s MBA experience rewarding! Speaking of connecting, there are three key community building events coming up:

  • Welcome Back to Campus Lunch - September 27, 12:30-1:20 pm, Anthony's Forum - 1st & 2nd years welcome
  • Wild, Wild West TG – September 29, beginning at 6:00 pm, 2nd Floor, PACCAR Hall
  • Foster Day of Service – September 30, 9:00 am-1:00 pm, UW Intramural Activities (IMA) fields, see the C4C webpage for details and sign-up

Finally, on behalf of the program office I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to all of the full-time Class of 2018 that participated in the MBA Opening Events. We appreciate you taking time to provide hospitality, answer questions, and help the new students settle into life here at Foster! A special shout out to Ronan Jenkins for creating the MBA Launch Welcome Video, Pratham Bagade for facilitating the MBA Launch Case Competition with us, Sandra Mumanachit for creating the Foster Diversity Video and delivering a wonderful introduction to the new class on this topic, and Elaine Ji for organizing and hosting the MBA Club Fair!

Here’s to a great year ahead!

Sigrid Olsen
Director of Student Affairs - Full-time MBA Program

Online MBA Student Directory

Be sure and utilize the Online MBA Student Directory as a means to connect and network with your classmates. Through this tool, you can access information about your classmates (Full-time MBA and Evening MBA) on a password protected site. Remember that you can click through on a student name to learn their educational and professional background. You can also search the entire directory by name, degree and job, or by company. Note that we are still adding the new student information – this should be complete in the next couple of weeks.

Autumn Quarter Class Schedule & Tuition Charges

Visit MyUW to verify that you are registered for the correct classes and that your tuition has been charged correctly. If you find any errors, contact mbaregis@uw.edu.

Autumn Quarter Financial Aid
If you received a Foster MBA Scholarship, it should have been disbursed to your student account by now. Financial Aid typically disburses in the first week of the quarter. For those of you with NRD waivers, you should see your waiver credited to your student account sometime this week. Please check your statement on MyUW and contact Barby Pearson if you have questions.
