Dan Graham received a B.S in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Washington. His Ph.D. thesis work focused on the creation and analysis of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) using ToF-SIMS and multivariate analysis. After graduating he worked as a research scientist with NESAC/BIO and SARC. In 2006 Dan left the UW to help found Asemblon Inc. where he worked for 4 years as a principal scientist in charge of surface engineering research.
In 2010, Dan returned to NESAC/BIO and is currently working as the NESAC/BIO Research Coordinator. Dan’s current projects include development of software tools and methods for processing of ToF-SIMS data (both spectra and images), as well as several internal and external collaborations involving ToF-SIMS of cells and tissues and 3D depth profiling.
Outside of work, Dan likes to mountain bike long distances, swim in lakes, inline skate and to collect, cut and polish interesting rocks.
