| Note that the preformed band and loop space maintainer has female and male units. The tubes attached to the orthodontic band receive the wire loop which will abut to the adjacent tooth. The wire loop can be cut so the mesiodistal space requirement can be determined and adjusted. Once the wires from the loop are placed in the tubes, the loop and tubes can be crimped together. |
