Minority Association of Pre-Health Students conference 4/11

The Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) are hosting their 19th Annual Pre-Health Conference on Saturday, April 11th, 2020. This conference is the largest pre-health conference at the University of Washington and is open to all high school and undergraduate students.

Students will have the opportunity to…

  1. Network with other high school students, undergraduate students, healthcare students, and healthcare professionals.
    1. Healthcare fields include medicine, PA, nursing, dentistry, optometry, and pharmacy.
  2. Connect with Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) at UW, graduate school admissions, community organizations in healthcare, and volunteer opportunities at our Resource Fair.
  3. Attend workshops to broaden students’ perspectives on what “healthcare” means, and how to be a well-rounded healthcare professional. Examples include:
    • Global Health Panel
    • Homelessness Health Disparities
    • Nursing and How It Affects Healthcare
    • Queer Health
    • Social Determinants of Health
  4. Participate in unforgettable hands-on interactive activities such as:
    • Dental workshop brought to you by students from UW School of Dentistry
    • Organs workshop brought to you by students from UW School of Medicine
