MEDLIFE Meeting Wednesday 10/26

Hello,

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a concrete impact in the fight against global poverty? MEDLIFE is a student-led global health organization that works to improve access to Medicine, Education, and Development for Low-Income Families Everywhere.

The UW chapter of MEDLIFE will be holding its second meeting this Wednesday, October 26th at 6:00 p.m. in Smith room 313. We would love to have anyone who is interested in or curious about MEDLIFE at the next meeting, so please come and check it out!!

Below is a brief description of what exactly MEDLIFE is all about, but if you want to learn even more be sure to check out the website: medlifeweb.org http://medlifeweb.org/ .

“Our organization offers students an unrivaled opportunity to engage in hands-on work both locally and globally to improve the lives of those in need. It is fundamental to our organization that all MEDLIFE members learn from and contribute to our mission to deliver better healthcare to the poor. Through our Mobile Clinics and MEDLIFE Fund community development projects, students are able to work alongside doctors and other professionals as we bring meaningful, sustainable change to areas of extreme poverty. On the home front, students participate in and contribute to our organization through our MEDLIFE Student Chapters — student-run clubs that fundraise towards our MEDLIFE Fund projects, volunteer in local community service efforts, and educate both themselves and the student body about the challenges facing the global health movement. Dedicated students also have the opportunity to help direct our domestic and international operations through various leadership positions and internships, both in the United States and Latin America. MEDLIFE has already served tens of thousands of individuals in Peru and Ecuador, and we will continue to grow with your help.”

We look forward to meeting you at our next meeting and hope you have a great week!!
