MAPS Meeting 1/12/12 from 5pm to 6pm

Join us this Thursday as we kick off our theme for the quarter!

“Advocates of OUR Community”

We will have 2 great speakers from the

Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMCA) @ the UW School of Medicine

who will talk about the importance of becoming advocates within our communities.

Victoria Gardner is the director of OMCA & our MAPS Advisor & she is an active advocate for many communities such as LQBTQ communities. Mary Walls is a Research Adviser of OMCA & has passion for health disparities & is an active advocate for African American communities.

In addition, we will be introducing the Student National Medical Association National Conference & our fundraising strategies. We will also be announcing our Princeton Review MCAT Weekend Crash Review Course as well as our Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Event.

Snacks will be provided!! So come with an empty stomach!!!
