Dear Undergraduates,
Your are invited to attend a workshop on the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process, which is critical for any of you who are or will be conducting research that includes human subjects. This could include anything from conducting interviews, surveys or focus groups, having subjects test out programs or software, or using previously collected data from human subjects in your own study.
When: Tuesday, February 7th 2:00pm – 3:30pm Where: 171 Mary Gates Hall
Geri Faris and Heidi Berthoud of the UW Human Subjects Division will be presenting on the background and process for IRB review. Remember that without prior IRB approval, you cannot publish results including data from human subjects.
