SUMMER INSTITUTE IN GLOBAL HEALTH
In one summer, your pre-med students can learn how to improve the lives of a global community. Einstein’s Center for Public Health Sciences gives students the opportunity to travel to India with the Summer Institute in Global Health. They will learn to become change agents for public health abroad in this unique four-week program, studying the increasing role globalization plays on health issues in New York and India.
During the Summer Institute, students will:
. Spend two weeks studying at Einstein’s campus, while preparing for their trip to India.
. Study for two weeks at one of the most prestigious institutions in India.
. Earn 3 credits of coursework that can be applied toward a degree.
. Learn and travel with a small, diverse group of students.
. Complete a culminating presentation project of ideas of cultural and behavioral influences on health, including a poster session by participants from both countries.
. Set themselves apart by gaining invaluable global health experience, burnishing their credentials before applying to medical school.
