Volunteers needed for Jamaican eye care program

===================================================================== The popular 2012 Jamaica “iCare” project will take place at the following locations and dates: Negril volunteers will arrive October 5 or 6 and depart October 14 or 15 Ocho Rios volunteers will arrive October 12 or 13 and depart October 21 or 22 This is our 4th year providing free eye care to the people of Jamaica. We also provide basic health services such as blood pressure and blood sugar screening. As always, this mission will be a partnership with Great Shape! (gsjamaica.org), VOSH, Sandals Foundation, the Jamaican Ministry of Health, and Lions Club. We will lodge at a luxury Sandals Resort.

In previous missions we have had several UW students participate. We have helped over 10,000 people! All participants have a rewarding cultural experience serving the community, and a relaxing time at Sandals. The Jamaican people and culture are the best!

Cost: You pay your own airfare and a trip fee of $700 which covers lodging, food, drinks, resort activities, in-country travel, work site rental, tee shirt, licenses, work permits, administration, and supply shipment expenses. Fundraising opportunities are available, which can cover part or all of your costs.
