Volunteer for the Youth Tutoring Program’s summer program!
Youth Tutoring Program (YTP) is recruiting volunteers for a variety of volunteer positions for their summer program.
YTP, a program of Catholic Community Services, is an after-school program serving nearly 500 at-risk students in 1st – 12th grade who live in affordable public housing communities across Seattle. Our students come from diverse backgrounds–representing many nationalities, cultures, languages and religions. Our mission is to tutor, guide and inspire these youth to achieve academic success.
Summer Program Volunteer at Yesler Terrace:
· Work with incoming first-fifth graders on reading, math, and science activities as well as field trip support.
· Program runs Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm. Minimum commitment of 12 hours per week (mornings or afternoons Monday-Thursday, or all day Fridays).
· This program will run from Wednesday June 27th – Thursday, August 9th
· The program will take place at Bailey Gatzert Elementary School in Seattle: 1301 E Yesler Way, Seattle, WA 98136.

Summer Program Volunteer (all other sites):
· Work one-on-one or in small groups with elementary school youth working on reading and writing skills through a variety of fun activities.
· Tutoring Sessions take place Tuesday – Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Minimum commitment of 1.5 hours per week.
· The program runs from Monday June 25th – Thursday July 19th.
· Takes place at five locations throughout Seattle (see below)
Summer Leadership Mentor:
· Mentors will work with middle and high school students on personal and school skills. Mentors will also prepare high school youth to work with elementary school students on reading and writing skills.
· Mentoring Sessions take place Mondays from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Minimum commitment of 1.5 hours per week.
· The program runs from Monday June 25th – Thursday July 19th.
· Takes place at five locations throughout Seattle (see below)

Lake Washington Apartments (Rainier Beach) – 9061 Seward Park Avenue South
