Hey Pre-Health Students!
Are you interested in planning or leading a week-long interactive shadowing experience in rural communities of Washington?
Currently, 20% of U.S. citizens live in rural communities and only 10% of healthcare professionals work there. To help change this disparity, Healthcare Alternative Spring Break (HCASB) is determined to expose the next generation of healthcare professionals to the hardships that such rural communities face but also the rewards that rural medicine offers. Students are able to shadow orthopedic surgeons, cardiologists, optometrists, pediatricians, dentists, nurses and many other healthcare professionals. Healthcare Alternative Spring Break Participant and Scholarship applications are opening tonight at 11:45 pm and will be available at http://www.hcasb.org/ www.hcasb.org. Applications are due by Dec 31, 2012 at MIDNIGHT but evaluations are rolling, so the earlier you submit your application, the better chance you have at getting in!
