We are excited to announce that the volunteer application for Vietnam Health Clinic 2013 is now open!
Vietnam Health Clinic (VHC) is a non-profit, student-led organization dedicated to improving healthcare access and services to the underprivileged population of Vietnam. From diagnosing patients in Triage to assisting health professionals and local graduate students with patient consultations: volunteers have many opportunities to learn the process of rural medicine and the basic healthcare system within two weeks. We aim to deliver a proactive experience for our volunteers who are interested in social work and healthcare professions. While providing shadowing opportunities and dynamic involvement for our student volunteers, we emphasize our central goal of minimizing health disparities in Vietnam.
Our application closes on December 19th, 2012 at 11:59 PM, and it can be found here: Volunteer Application 2013, or at: www.vnhealth.org under the “Volunteer” section. Please be sure to submit your application as well as a recommendation form by the deadline to be considered.
Two informational sessions will be held this week on November 28th and November 29th in Smith 313 at 5:30 pm.
