United Against Infectious Diseases (UAID) – Public Health Leadership Opportunity

*PUBLIC HEALTH LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY* *Pre-med? Interested in public health? Want leadership experience?* *United Against Infectious Diseases*(UAID) is an international volunteer organization that promotes empowers students in making our world a better, healthier place through awareness, prevention, and treatment of infectious diseases. This February 8th – 10th, UAID will be hosting its annual Infectious Disease Symposium at NYU. Themed, “Mission: Is It Impossible? Students Combating Infectious Diseases”, the symposium will draw students who are passionate about public health from several campuses into the NYC community. UAID will also be taking students from across America to Panama, Honduras, and Uganda this summer to conduct HIV testing/counseling, help build local health clinics, tutor English and math at elementary schools, lead awareness campaigns, and more.
