This Week in Global Health is Back!

[cid:image001.jpg@01CEB461.C6303AC0] Dear All, Our newsletter has been on a long summer vacation and will be undergoing changes. We will be sending out this message weekly with info on events, funding opportunities, and headlines. Then we will have monthly “global grams” on a specific topic, and a quarterly newsletter with Department news. We had the help of a UW Public Relations Practicum Team for our e-news strategy and loved their advice based on best practices and survey results. If you only want to receive monthly global grams and quarterly news, please go here and check the appropriate box. For more info on upcoming events, headlines, and funding opportunities, go to This Week in Global Health! Upcoming events: We hope you can join us tonight (Sept. 18, Foege N-130 5:15 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.) for David Sanders on the People’s Health Movement – a global network bringing together grassroots health activists, civil society organizations and academic institutions from around the world, particularly from low and middle income countries. The People’s Charter for Health, the group’s founding document was developed and PHM was born. * Dawg Daze Event #1: “Mapping Global Health – A Walking Tour” Monday, September 23, 2013 – 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
