MEDIC at UW

On Monday, September 23 and Tuesday, September 24 in Savery 264 from 11 to 12:30, MEDIC will hold its “Let’s Get Ethical” Dawg Daze event. See description below: “If there is a treatment available only to a few individuals, how do you decide who gets it? When is it okay to donate a patient’s organs? Is prenatal genetic screening ethical? Come discuss current issues in biomedical ethics and philosophy with UW’s bioethics group MEDIC. All backgrounds, majors, and experience levels are welcome!” We encourage anyone interested in medical ethics to come by for some snacks and to learn more and debate about hot topics in medicine! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at medicuw@uw.edu and be sure to like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/medicuw for updates about MEDIC and bioethics in the media. Hope to see you next week, Annie Young, Shahar Levari, Jane Kwon, Julia Buschmann, and Kaia Barth — MEDIC at UW University of Washington Student Organization Affiliated with Bioethics and Humanities http://students.washington.edu/medicuw/ medicuw@u.washington.edu
