FW: Healthcare Alternative Spring Break (HCASB)

The 2014 HCASB Team Leader applications are now officially open! The deadline to apply is Sunday, October 27th at 11:59PM! (Healthcare Alternative Spring Break (HCASB) is a student-led organization at the UW that offers shadowing opportunities in rural areas throughout Washington state, in pre-health fields such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, optometry, and physical therapy. Through our one-week immersion program, we seek to expose the next generation of healthcare professionals to the hardships and rewards of rural medicine.) As a Team Leader, you will have more control over your HCASB experience – you’ll plan what area your group will visit and what kinds of health professionals you’ll shadow. If you are organized, self-motivated, personable, and would like to hone your leadership skills, this is the perfect position for you! No prior HCASB experience is necessary, though applications from past participants and planners are highly encouraged. And all Team Leaders are guaranteed a spot on the Spring Break Trip!
