Register Now! National ShaDO Week April 14-18, 2014

AACOM is very proud to support the National Pre-SOMA medical student leaders volunteering to lead National ShaDO Week April 14-18, 2014 at select Osteopathic Medical Colleges across the nation! April’s event is held in conjunction with National Osteopathic Medicine Week. National ShaDO Week’s event brings together Pre-SOMA medical students and admission officers from the nation ‘s Osteopathic Medical Schools to reach out to high school, undergraduate, post-baccalaureate pre-medical students and pre-health advisors. This is also a wonderful opportunity for aspiring premedical students to connect with medical students to have their questions answered, visit a medical school, and get great insight from current medical students willing to help mentor premedical students! Space is limited, so we encourage you to register soon! Please see the attached PDF flyer. National ShaDO Week will be held the week of April 14-18, 2014. Note: Some Osteopathic Medical Schools may have other opportunities available. Pre-SOMA The Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) is the largest Osteopathic student organization in existence. Run on a national level by volunteer student leaders elected by their peers, SOMA acts as the voice of Osteopathic medical students on issues that affect our medical education, our future careers, and the care of our future patients. Pre-SOMA is the undergraduate division of SOMA, dedicated to the promotion of Osteopathic medicine and the support of all students who aspire to become the kind of caring, compassionate and competent physicians that epitomize Osteopathic medicine. How do I get involved? There are two ways to be involved in Pre-SOMA – by becoming a National Member and by being a part of a Pre-SOMA chapter at your local school. To join National Pre-SOMA: 1) Go to www.studentdo.com/join and create a login 2) Press the “Join SOMA” button on the main page and fill out the form Gina M. Moses, M.Ed.
