Americorps position available! Great experience for a recent grad or someone looking for healthcare related work during a “gap year”.

Marshfield Clinic Center for Community Outreach in Marshfield, WI is looking for an AmeriCorps Member who holds a high school diploma and is 21 years or older to support a collaborative effort with University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Eau Claire, WI to prepare students and community volunteers to be patient advocates.

The term of service is October 21, 2014 – August 31, 2015. AmeriCorps members must be willing to serve for the duration of the term of service (1700 hours minimum), averaging approximately 35- 40 hours a week. AmeriCorps members receive a living allowance of approximately $537 (gross) every two weeks over their term of service, along with medical healthcare insurance (premium paid by Marshfield Clinic), free service gear, childcare assistance (if qualified), and vacation time. Upon successful completion of the term of service, members receive a $5,645 educational award. Educational awards can be used for loan repayment, future schooling costs and special educational opportunities. AmeriCorps members have the option of serving up to four terms and earning the equivalent of two full-time educational awards over their lifetime. Members have up to seven years to utilize educational awards.

January 12-14, 2015 (Kalahari – Wisconsin Dells)
