Huskies for Suicide Prevention & Awareness

Huskies for Suicide Prevention & Awareness is UW’s only club dedicated to mental health awareness and suicide prevention. We are excited to expand our reach on campus this year in the form of offering training to students, high school outreach opportunities, stress-relief activities throughout the quarter (including therapy dawgs!), and, as always, our awareness walk in the spring. We meet every other Monday and we have a general meeting coming up on Monday, October 13th at 5pm in Savery 132. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our club and this cause.

For more information, you can follow up at hspauw.com or email hspa@uw.edu.

We’re also offering two 3-hour safeTALK suicide awareness trainings this quarter. Students can find out more at this link: http://hspauw.com/get-involved/safetalk-training/

These trainings are a great way to gain exposure to suicide and depression signs and symptoms as well as how to find help on campus.
