AMSA’s Book Drive to Support Invisible Children

Hello Huskies!

This quarter UW’s pre-medical chapter of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is partnering up with Better World Books to collect all of your unwanted college textbooks (and books read for class) that you don’t want to pack and bring home or store for the summer! And better yet, the profits will be donated to Invisible Children!

We will accept all books (textbooks, books, CDs, children’s books, workbooks) and if they are not up to par with Better World Books’ standards we will donate them to a local school or library, or recycle them in a green way.

Invisible Children is a non-profit organization that works to end the use of child soldiers in African wars. Many of these children are kidnapped from their homes and forced to fight. In addition, Invisible Children builds schools, educates leaders and provides jobs for individuals in Northern Uganda.

Drop boxes will be located in McMahon Hall, Terry Hall, Stevens Court Apartments, Odegaard Library, Suzzallo Cafe, Allen South Library, and Mary Gates Hall from June 5th to June 10th.

Thank you for supporting this charitable event!
