Interested in a career in medicine? Hoping to learn more about what that might look like or just intimidated by the whole process? The Center for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (CEDI) and affiliated medical student groups offer several ways to connect with current med students and other premeds:
Mentoring: Sign up to be connected with a one-on-one medical student mentor. Open to high school students through post-graduate folks, especially those who are traditionally underrepresented in medicine. Informal and flexible, based on you and your mentor’s preferences.

UPREP: UPREP is the Student National Medical Association’s (SNMA) outreach program targeting underrepresented minority (URM) undergraduate students who are interested in a career in medicine. SNMA has teamed up with other CEDI student organizations at the medical school (LMSA, QMED, APAMSA, MWS) to host bi-quarterly workshops for UPREP students to discuss topics such as applications, personal statements, health and wellness, MCAT, etc. We also provide mentorship for students throughout their pre-medical experience. This program provides an opportunity for students to meet and build meaningful relationships with CEDI-affiliated medical students, residents and physicians.

ATTEND THE PRE-MEDICAL (MD or MD/PHD) MENTORSHIP KICKOFF EVENT:

What is it: Mentorship Event hosted by medical students from CEDI student organizations for premedical students interested in MD or MD/PHD programs.

SMDEP: SMDEP is a free six-week summer academic enrichment program for freshmen and sophomore college students who are interested in a career in medicine or dentistry!
